Getting a Web Host

It's easy to sign up for a Web hosting service for your current domain name. (If you do not already have a domain name, then go here first.) Even if you already have a Web host, switching to this better one will save you money every year, and allow me to develop your website faster and maintain it more easily in the future.

1. Click here, which opens up a new window. If it asks you if you want to accept a cookie, then do so.
2. Click the "SIGN UP NOW" button in that new window. You are then taken to the "Secure Sign Up for Web Hosting" page.
3. In Step 1, enter your domain name. If you already have a domain name, enter it in the right-hand section labeled "Transfer Clients".
4. In Step 2, in section 1, select your desired billing cycle. I recommend two years.
5. In section 2, enter a new password, twice. I recommend a random mixture of lowercase letters and numbers. Immediately write it down someplace safe.
6. In section 3, enter your contact information.
7. Click the "Terms of Use" checkbox. Click the "SIGN UP" button. You are then taken to the payment page.
8. After you pay with your credit card, a dialog box may pop up, in which a customer service representative says that they will try to call you immediately at the phone number that you entered earlier. This is for security reasons.
9. You will receive an e-mail message from them, containing your username and password. Please forward that message to me, because I will need that information for uploading files to your Web host account. Thank you!
