When prospective website clients first hear the term "content strategy", they may incorrectly assume that it is merely a fancy synonym for "copyediting" or "editing" — only an exaggeration for bolstering a résumé, proposal, or invoice. In fact, it is essentially the planning, creation, presentation, and management of web-based content. Thus, website developers and other digital professionals would be wise to (gently) educate people whose skepticism may simply be an outcome of unfamiliarity with the concept. They will find that the Emperor of the Web is, thankfully, fully clothed.
