Your website needs to be stored on a hosting company's Web servers. Fortunately, it's easy to sign up for an affordable hosting service for your future website. If you already have a Web host, then switching to the service I use and recommend will save you money every year, and will allow me to develop your website faster and maintain it more easily in the future.

1. Click here, which opens up a new window. If it asks you if you want to accept a cookie, then do so.
2. Click the "SIGN UP NOW" button in that new window. You are then taken to the "Secure Sign Up for Web Hosting" page.
3. In step 1 on their site:
   • Click "I already have a Domain". If you do not already have a domain name, then first sign up for one.
   • Type in your domain name, including the ".com".
   • Click the blue "PROCEED" button.
4. In step 2 on their site, enter all the requested information.
   • For the contact information, if you are opening an account on behalf of someone else (such as a non-technical client), then use your own e-mail address, so you will receive the initial message from SiteGround. We can then change the address later to whatever the client wants.
   • For the package plan, choose at least 12 months. To minimize the number of times that they remind you to renew, sign up for 36 months instead of 12.
   • SiteGround may recommend additional services, but you do not need them.
5. Click the "SUBMIT" button.
6. If the hosting account information differs from your credit card information, then you may see a dialog box informing you that a customer service representative will try to call you immediately at the phone number that you entered earlier. This is for security reasons.
7. SiteGround will send you a message titled "SiteGround Hosting Services - Order Confirmation", which will contain your username and chosen password. Please forward that message to me, because I will need the information for uploading files to the Web host account.
